Endurance test for solutions from the BPW Group: Racing Team T Sport Bernau starts a new racing season
- BPW and PE extend partnership with Racing Team

Wiehl/Wuppertal 12/5/2022 --- The BPW Group and the truck racing team T Sport Bernau will be sticking together in 2022. As partners, BPW and PE Automotive support the team around the Spanish top driver Antonio Albacete in the upcoming Goodyear FIA European Truck Racing Championship (ETRC). In exciting wheel-to-wheel contests, the BPW and PE components are put to the test.
Push the throttle on the straightaway as far as it will go. Brake at the last moment, turning the steering wheel and heaving the 5,300 kilo truck through the chaos: Only an experienced racing team like T Sport Bernau knows the forces that the components installed in a racing truck have to withstand when a vehicle with 1,200 HP applies an incredible 5,400 torque to the wheel or performs an emergency braking manoeuvre at 160 kilometres per hour.
As part of the partnership, the BPW Group supports the team with high-quality parts from its brand range. Chief technician Tim Frost is enthusiastic about the teamwork: "The BPW and PE components installed in our race truck have been convincing in all applications. We didn't have a single technical failure: not in the race, nor in qualifying or practice. The team has used the last few months to prepare the race truck for the new season and to try out many components. A return to the top 5 is the goal. A total of eight races are scheduled from May to September. The season kicks off with the race in Misano, Italy on May 21st and 22nd.
BPW and PE are also looking forward to the new season. "We couldn't wish for a tougher test lab for our BPW Group truck and trailer components than the truck races", affirms BPW Product Manager Thorsten Grahl. "Everything we learn from the races will be incorporated into our further development work."
