Following an asset deal, PE Automotive GmbH & Co. KG will take over the trading activities of Monark Automotive GmbH and the Monark brand

Press release -

Following an asset deal, PE Automotive GmbH & Co. KG will take over the trading activities of Monark Automotive GmbH and the Monark brand

PE Automotive is expanding its range by taking over the established independent aftermarket brand Monark.

By taking over the trading activities and the Monark brand, PE is expanding its range in the areas of vehicle electrics, illumination and diesel fuel injection. PE Automotive, which is one of the leading producers on the independent aftermarket, is thus focusing on the strategic expansion of its spare parts range for commercial vehicles.

Monark, a company which has been established on the market since 1951, will drive forward the further development of its innovative and high-quality product portfolio under the new leadership of PE Automotive.

For Ralf Maurer, the Chairman of the Managing Board, the Monark brand is an ideal addition to PE’s product portfolio: “With the newly created union, we follow our customers’ expectation of offering more products with the best price/performance ratio and high quality to ensure timely repair and maintenance services - all from one single source.”

“With the takeover and continuation of our trading business by PE Automotive GmbH & Co. KG, the Monark brand is in safe hands. The takeover is particularly beneficial to our long-standing customers and suppliers. As planned, we are now focusing on our industrial production activities and are also looking forward to working together with PE in this regard”, says Monark’s CEO Ulrich Müller.

Michael Pfeiffer, personally liable managing partner of PE’s parent company BPW, is happy that PE Automotive is making an important strategic contribution to the BPW Group’s mobility partnership with this expansion. “By adding the Monark brand, we are increasing in a targeted manner the appeal of our brand for the benefit of our trading partners, fleet and workshop customers.”

The sales contract will enter into force on 1 February 2020. Both parties agreed not to disclose the purchase price.
