12-tonne Airlight II suspension unit for low loaders.

Press release -

Axle load of 12 tonnes now within reach of BPW air suspension Airlight II

  • Proven BPW air suspension available for low loaders
  • Rugged design of Airlight II further enhanced
  • Includes 5+3-year warranty

Wiehl, 01.03.2018 ---
The international mobility and system partner BPW has extended the operating scope of its air suspension Airlight II for low loaders. With immediate effect, it can be installed in vehicles with an axle load of 12 tonnes.

Customers stand to benefit from a higher payload, given that the Airlight II is lighter than the SL series, which has been the air suspension of choice for this weight category to date. Among the other features of the new suspension are a 120 x 15 mm axle beam, reinforced trailing arms, and an optimised welded axle mounting. The combined outcome of these attributes is an Airlight II that is substantially more rugged and especially suitable for low loaders. For extreme heavy-duty and off-road conditions with axle loads from 12 tonnes, BPW continues to recommend the proven SL air suspension together with the square axle beam 150.

BPW grants operators a 5+3-year warranty on the entire Airlight II air suspension range for unlimited mileage throughout Europe. Customers also obtain three years of cover for the brake cylinders, shock absorbers and air bags.
