Change in the BPW Management: Michael Pfeiffer withdraws from the company

  • Michael Pfeiffer significantly shaped the international Mobility and System Partnership strategy
  • Achim Kotz and Markus Schell will carry on the transformation process

Wiehl, 2.10.2020 --- Michael Pfeiffer, Managing Partner of BPW Bergische Achsen Kommanditgesellschaft, will resign from the Management Board and withdraw from the company at his own request effective December 31st, 2020. He looks back on more than 30 years of successful activity, 22 of which as Managing Partner of the family owned company.

Since 2014, with the strategy of the international Mobility and System Partnership, the BPW Management has continuously been developing the BPW Group, to successfully position the company with 120 years of tradition for the coming decades. One significant milestone was scheduled for year-end 2020 and will be effectively achieved, despite the impacts of the COVID crisis: the transport industry acknowledges BPW as its Mobility and System Partner. "For this I thank my partners in the management team, the shareholders and especially all BPW staff in Germany and worldwide. For me personally it is just the right time to step back", Mr. Pfeiffer comments his resignation at the turn of the year.

Mr. Christian Peter Kotz, Chairman of the shareholder´s committee of BPW Bergische Achsen Kommanditgesellschaft, thanks Mr. Pfeiffer for his successful work and wishes him all the best for the future.

"The two Managing Partners Achim Kotz and Markus Schell will lead the BPW Group into the next phase of transformation, thus ensuring the continuity of the strategic orientation", adds Mr. Christian Peter Kotz.
