Wiehl/Wuppertal 3.9.2020 --- Corona hits the transport industry hard. This means that many transport companies are doing without the purchase of new trailers, with some even saving on maintenance. BPW and PE Automotive are therefore launching a support programme together to have fleets of trailers reconditioned, keeping them on the road for longer. The price advantage is enormous - up to 40 percent compared to individual orders. Service stations and spare parts dealers will also benefit.
Since the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic, the media and by the public have shown a new appreciation for both transport companies and their drivers, but the business reality looks very different: a lack of sales is putting small and medium-sized fleet operators, in particular, under pressure. Many are not purchasing new vehicles and some are even taking safety risks to save on maintenance. Instead of just calling for governmental aid, the BPW Group is now taking the initiative and setting up its own support programme to provide financial relief for transport companies and thereby help them through the crisis. To this end, BPW, together with its subsidiary PE Automotive, has created high-quality spare parts packages that keep trailers on the road safely and for significantly longer - at a price advantage of up to 40 percent compared to individual orders. "Trailer kits" from BPW and PE have been compiled for the typical brake and axle versions. In the sizes S, M, L and XL, the packages contain all the parts needed to make a chassis fit for many more miles, depending on the vehicle age and application profile. Depending on the package, these include complete hubs, brake shoes, drums or discs and cylinders and even air bags and shock absorbers. Fleets, service stations and sales partners can obtain detailed information on the packages from BPW and PE Automotive directly or via the website www.trailer-kit.com.
The ordering of spare part packages is linked to the respective vehicle identification numbers. Orders are simply placed via the preferred service stations - the vehicle operator does not need to worry about anything. Together, BPW and PE will ensure smooth digital handling of the logistics and delivery process via the spare parts trade.
The fleet support programme will start on 1st September and run until the end of May 2021 inGermany, Benelux, Denmark, Sweden and Poland.
