idem telematics sweeps the board at the German Telematics Award

The German Telematics Award is known as the world's toughest and at the same time most realistic test for transport telematics systems; the test criteria were even made stricter this year. The result: European market leader idem telematics took 1st place in two categories. In the process, the market leader significantly extended its points lead over the competition.

Digital independence for forwarders: idem telematics wins German Telematics Award

Europe's leading trailer telematics system is also the best. This is the verdict given by the German Telematics Award panel of experts, one which is bestowed once every two years: idem telematics successfully relies on the principle of system openness in order to network practically everything in transport – including competing third-party systems. That's why forwarders also give top marks.

Swiss firm Pistor AG uses telematics solutions from idem telematics to monitor its fleet.

DHL is networking transport fleets across Europe with idem telematics

The global logistics leader Deutsche Post DHL is equipping its fleet of trailers across Europe with telematics systems from idem telematics. Based in Munich and Ulm, idem telematics is part of the BPW Group and specialises in digital networking of transport vehicles.

It may look inconspicuous, but the new TC Trailer Gateway PRO telematics hardware from idem telematics holds a great deal of knowledge and potential for transport companies.

idem telematics is radically simplifying telematics for trailers: new Gateway PRO integrates functions, interfaces and wireless standards

idem telematics is radically simplifying the installation and maintenance of telematics hardware in trailers: TC Trailer Gateway PRO is the first solution to integrate central functions and can also communicate via five different wireless standards. This simplifies the installation of original equipment and greatly speeds up retrofitting and service work.

Digitally monitored cargo restraint system ‘iGurt’ prevents accidents and damage to the load

Safer loading, more flexible manoeuvres: BPW receives two ‘Trailer Innovation 2019’ awards

BPW can once again celebrate its win of an important innovation prize – twice over. A jury of 16 international trade journalists and experts from the German Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA) selected two innovations from BPW for the ‘Trailer Innovation 2019’ award. Both innovations combine a significant gain in safety with substantial cost savings for vehicle operators.

Jens Zeller (Managing Director idem telematics GmbH) and Marco Reichwein (Managing Director Cargobull Telematics GmbH) seal their strategic cooperation at the IAA Commercial Vehicles in Hanover.

Schmitz Cargobull and idem telematics: common interface for efficient data management

Schmitz Cargobull and the BPW Group announce a strategic cooperation in the field of telematics at the IAA Commercial Vehicles: In future, data can be exchanged between the "cargofleet3" telematics system of BPW subsidiary idem telematics and the new Schmitz Cargobull TrailerConnect® portal via a common interface.

TC Track & Trace ensures transparency regarding the vehicle’s route and position – at all times.

Track and trace made remarkably easy and affordable, too – BPW paves the way towards digitisation for hauliers with mini telematics

Is digitisation leaving small and medium-sized hauliers behind? The fact is that around 85% of trailers on the market have no telematics and are missing a digital connection – faxes, paper trails and constant calls to drivers and dispatchers are still part and parcel of day-to-day work, even in 2018. The BPW Group now wants to change that.

BPW introduces the prototype of a new and intelligent cargo restraint system at the "IAA Commercial Vehicles" fair.

iGurt: BPW makes cargo restraints intelligent

Transport damages caused by poorly-secured freight are routine in the transport business; serious accidents and damages to the load frequently occur due to rolling and tipping truck trailers. BPW is now tackling one of the main causes with intelligent cargo restraints: the iGurt checks and documents the tension of the lashing strap and promises massive savings.

The new BPW ECO Air running gear generation scores with absolute modularity.

BPW revolutionises the running gear for trailers with modular architecture and "digital DNA"

BPW, a leading supplier of axles and running gear technology for commercial vehicles worldwide, will be presenting a new platform for trailer running gears at the IAA: completely redesigned and digitalised, the configuration, construction and manufacturing of trailers has been considerably slimmed down and sped up. To do this, BPW uses newly developed laser techniques.

In future, vehicle manufacturers will be able to configure BPW running gears online.

Born digital: BPW is revolutionising the configuration, ordering and production of running gears

No other type of vehicle is as highly individual as the trailer – every transport task requires a specific running gear. BPW, one of the market leaders for complete running gear systems for truck-trailers and semi-trailers, has now considerably simplified the configuration of running gears: by utilising a "digital DNA" for all components, running gears can be configured and ordered online.

The BPW Aftermarket Group offers commercial vehicle garages a mobile spare parts warehouse with up to 2,000 parts directly on site.

Digital shopping: BPW Aftermarket Group offers upBox, an intelligent spare parts warehouses for garage premises

The process of ordering spare parts online may be quick in the spare parts business, but simply picking them off the shelf is even quicker: the BPW Aftermarket Group is offering commercial vehicle garages a mobile spare parts warehouse with up to 2,000 parts directly on site. The required parts are simply taken out and the billing and reordering processes are completely automatic.
