  • The BPW BrakePadMonitor for monitoring brake lining wear soon pays for itself and lasts as long as the trailer.

Predictive maintenance: BPW now offers measurement of brake lining wear in the trailer with a new sensor

The next generation of Europe’s top-selling trailer disc brake is in the starting blocks – but it doesn't come alone: BPW is also supplying a completely redeveloped sensor which is the first to continuously measure brake lining wear and thus enable visits to the garage to be timed perfectly. The system requires no maintenance and can be retrofitted for all BPW trailer disc brakes.

  • BPW's trailer disc brake ECO Disc TS2 withstands the toughest conditions on a construction site

For use on construction sites: robust ECO Disc TS2 trailer disc brake from BPW

Whether it's ready-mix concrete, sand or asphalt at 180 degrees Celsius, in the construction industry, trailers usually transport extreme payloads – the demands on braking performance are correspondingly high. BPW, Europe's largest trailer brake manufacturer, introduces the "ECO Disc TS2" – based on a successful concept that has been tried and tested more than two million times.

  • With the ECO Air trailer running gear redesigned from the ground up, BPW covers both on-road and off-road applications.

BPW reinvents the running gear for trailers: Fully digitalised modular concept for on- and off-road use

With a platform for running gears that has been thoroughly redesigned, BPW now covers both on-road and off-road applications. This means that running gear can be configured for trailers that can be used just as easily and efficiently on the road as on the construction site. The highlight is a "digital DNA" that accompanies the vehicle throughout its life with intelligent services.

  • BPW's Active Reverse Control now also gives low loader trailers exceptional manoeuvrability when reversing.

BPW is now also making low loader trailers a dream to manoeuvre

Large manoeuvring areas for deliveries are a luxury that construction site logistics specialists can only dream of. On inner-city construction sites, things are especially tight – and not only with regard to space, but also in terms of timing. Drawbar trailers can now manoeuvre faster and more safely with an innovative auxiliary steering system from BPW.

  • First battery-powered commercial vehicle with a total weight of 7.5 t in the "LiVe" research project at the PEM of RWTH Aachen University

BPW supplies electric drive for new lorry project from PEM at RWTH Aachen, Isuzu Motors Germany and StreetScooter

Electric vans are being spotted in more and more inner cities – most of them in the bright distinctive colours of the postal service, delivering letters, parcels and packages. Yet truly heavy loads are soon to be transported electrically, too: BPW is supplying the drive axle technology for a research project at RWTH Aachen aimed at helping the electric lorry achieve their breakthrough.

  • Digitally monitored cargo restraint system ‘iGurt’ prevents accidents and damage to the load

Safer loading, more flexible manoeuvres: BPW receives two ‘Trailer Innovation 2019’ awards

BPW can once again celebrate its win of an important innovation prize – twice over. A jury of 16 international trade journalists and experts from the German Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA) selected two innovations from BPW for the ‘Trailer Innovation 2019’ award. Both innovations combine a significant gain in safety with substantial cost savings for vehicle operators.

  • The new BPW ECO Air running gear generation scores with absolute modularity.

BPW revolutionises the running gear for trailers with modular architecture and "digital DNA"

BPW, a leading supplier of axles and running gear technology for commercial vehicles worldwide, will be presenting a new platform for trailer running gears at the IAA: completely redesigned and digitalised, the configuration, construction and manufacturing of trailers has been considerably slimmed down and sped up. To do this, BPW uses newly developed laser techniques.

  • In future, vehicle manufacturers will be able to configure BPW running gears online.

Born digital: BPW is revolutionising the configuration, ordering and production of running gears

No other type of vehicle is as highly individual as the trailer – every transport task requires a specific running gear. BPW, one of the market leaders for complete running gear systems for truck-trailers and semi-trailers, has now considerably simplified the configuration of running gears: by utilising a "digital DNA" for all components, running gears can be configured and ordered online.

  • With the new electro-hydraulic auxiliary steering system Active Reverse Control, for the first time, BPW is tapping into the benefits of self-steering axles for reversing manoeuvres, too.

IAA 2018: BPW presents innovative electro-hydraulic auxiliary steering system Active Reverse Control

BPW will be showcasing its new electro-hydraulic auxiliary steering system Active Reverse Control at IAA Commercial Vehicles 2018 in Hanover (Hall 26, Stand C31). This innovative system supports the steering functionality of trailers and is light, cost-effective and low-maintenance. This independent solution does not require approval, is particularly easy to install and can also be retrofitted.
