Katrin Köster, Head of Corporate Communications at BPW, and her team thank all voters for the ETM Award.

BPW convinces vehicle manufacturers and freight forwarders with ease

Digitalisation, lack of drivers, climate regulations, corona crisis: in the transport world, nothing remains as it was. Only one thing seems to have been immovably fixed for 14 years: BPW wins the ETM Award as strongest brand for trailer axles and running gear systems.

Weight-sensitive transports in particular benefit from the weight reduction achieved by BPW lightweight components.

More usable load, less fuel consumption: BPW offers the lightest trailer running gear of all times for extremely efficient transport

The new world champion in featherweight is called BPW: With novel lightweight components, BPW pushes the module weight of the 9t Airlight II trailer running gear to under 370 kilograms. This brings not only unprecedented lightness to heavy goods traffic, but also allows transport companies to benefit from more usable load and digital services throughout the vehicle's life.

BPW is bringing the running gear computer, AGRO Hub, to the series with a digital weighing system.

Agriculture 4.0: Total transparency in driving, loading, spreading, feeding and weighing with the BPW AGRO Hub weighing system

Contractors and cultivators can now continuously digitally monitor the total weight and the usable load of their drawbar trailers – even during use: the running gear computer AGRO Hub, which BPW will present at Agritechnica 2019, controls and measures the use of spreaders and loading and feed mixers. Even transport drawbar trailers are saved the detour via weighbridges and yard scales.

Good for your wallet and for the environment: with AirSave, a three-axle vehicle not only saves more than 700 euros a year, but also 655 kilos of CO2.

AirSave: BPW automatically controls tyre and cost pressure

The shreds of blown truck tyres are a typical sight along the edge of the motorway. Yet blown truck tyres are anything but harmless – tyre blowouts are highly dangerous and even minimal pressure losses can be extremely costly for hauliers. This is why BPW will soon be offering a tyre pressure control system ex works that pays for itself during the very first year.

The BPW stand, from a bird's eye view: BPW lures visitors upstairs with networking and get-togethers, downstairs with high-tech innovation.

Open.Together: the BPW Group is showcasing itself as a partner for digitisation and networking at ‘transport logistic’ trade show

BPW is one of the global market leaders for trailer axles and running gear systems – but anyone looking for heavy metal at transport logistic in Munich is in for a surprise: the BPW Group stand at the trade fair (Hall A6, Booth 310) is all about digitisation, networking and electromobility. However, the company group wants to inspire its customers with more than just high-tech solutions...

From the wheelhouse to the tablet: The AGRO Hub transfers gathered data using wireless communication.

Weighed and approved: BPW presents running gear computer with integrated weighing system at Bauma

BPW now makes it possible to determine the weight of the load using a new type of sensor that via a hub wirelessly transmits its data from the drawbar trailer axle directly to end devices and via an ISO bus interface also to the driver's cab. This allows drivers and transport companies to gain full transparency over mileage and transported quantities – and can also bill by weight.

The BPW BrakePadMonitor for monitoring brake lining wear soon pays for itself and lasts as long as the trailer.

Predictive maintenance: BPW now offers measurement of brake lining wear in the trailer with a new sensor

The next generation of Europe’s top-selling trailer disc brake is in the starting blocks – but it doesn't come alone: BPW is also supplying a completely redeveloped sensor which is the first to continuously measure brake lining wear and thus enable visits to the garage to be timed perfectly. The system requires no maintenance and can be retrofitted for all BPW trailer disc brakes.

BPW's trailer disc brake ECO Disc TS2 withstands the toughest conditions on a construction site

For use on construction sites: robust ECO Disc TS2 trailer disc brake from BPW

Whether it's ready-mix concrete, sand or asphalt at 180 degrees Celsius, in the construction industry, trailers usually transport extreme payloads – the demands on braking performance are correspondingly high. BPW, Europe's largest trailer brake manufacturer, introduces the "ECO Disc TS2" – based on a successful concept that has been tried and tested more than two million times.
