Weight savings of up to 60 kilograms are a sensation in the trailer industry. The engineers at BPW Bergische Achsen KG have achieved this with the new generation of the Airlight II running gear kit. Thanks to digital DNA, laser technology and intelligent modules, the kit now covers an even wider range of applications – both on the motorway and off the beaten track.
Whether on Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter or YouTube, BPW has been reaching out to users of commercial vehicle and transport technology directly through social media for years. Now, BPW is launching ‘TrailerBuddies’, a special YouTube format for professionals in garages and service stations.

BPW is now delivering the AirSave tyre pressure control system that pays for itself in the first year: The system achieves enormous savings in terms of fuel, tyres and time. Contractors and cultivators can now continuously digitally monitor the total weight and the usable load of their drawbar trailers – even during use: the running gear computer AGRO Hub, which BPW will present at Agritechnica 2019, controls and measures the use of spreaders and loading and feed mixers. Even transport drawbar trailers are saved the detour via weighbridges and yard scales.

With a hydraulic drive axle from BPW, drawbar trailers are now digging their own way out of the sludge: originally developed for agricultural use, the award-winning "AGRO Drive" system is also taking construction sites by storm.
BPW now makes it possible to determine the weight of the load using a new type of sensor that via a hub wirelessly transmits its data from the drawbar trailer axle directly to end devices and via an ISO bus interface also to the driver's cab. This allows drivers and transport companies to gain full transparency over mileage and transported quantities – and can also bill by weight.
